daily progress 2

What was my Next Action entering into the day?

To actually focus on one portion of the project (the flapper) and see exactly how i could decribe and compare there sense of style

What did I do today?

I found different websites that showed me clear pictures on how the flapper dressed

How does what I did today help answer my research question?

It gave me a visual look at the similarities the 20's and s000's had in terms of style

What's my Next Action?

To find more information on style of the 2000's

index card 2.)

This website actually shows me the sense of style the flappers had. Some would also wear short skirts, smoke, and drink.

index card 1.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flapper

This website tells me how women in the roaring twenties, drastically changed there sense of sylte. A "new breed" of young women who wore short skirts, bobbed their hair, listened to the new jazz music, and flaunted their disdain for what was then considered acceptable behavior. The flappers were seen as brash for wearing excessive makeup, drinking, treating sex in a casual manner, smoking, driving automobiles, and otherwise flouting conventional social and sexual norms.

Daily Progress

  1. What was my Next Action entering into the day?

I was gathering more and more information and idead i colud use.

  • What did I do today?

  • Today I came up with details and exactly how I wanted to present my final project.

  • How does what I did today help answer my research question?
  • It helped me get a good understanding on how people did things and made different things represent many other things, such as the way flapper dressed, showing a symbol of style, and sex in a casual manor.
  • What's my Next Action?
  • I plan to spend time looking at the information i got and comparing them.

A task breakdown/work flow for the project

  1. first i plan to gather information on both the roaring twenties and 2000's
  2. next i plan take the similarties and compare then, and see how society has drastically changed
  3. i will make a video showing the roaring twenties and 2000's in style and fashion wise
  4. using the information i find (pictures), i will take 2 different styles from each era, and have models that will actually wear similar clothing to look like the person in the picture.
  5. Last i will first show the picture and then the models
  6. In the end all the models will come together to visually show how there styles are different, fashion wise

A justification of how the finished product demonstrates mastery

I plan to have models displaying the many different styles of the flapper, and people displaying the many different styles of clothing and music today and back during the times of the roaring twenties.

A definition of the finished product

My definition of a finished product will be...........
I will have a very meaningful project showing two ways in which the roaring 20's are similar to times of the 2000's.

A justification of that form ("Why choose this particular form?")

I choose to do this form of a project because, during the roaring twenties music and style played a huge role in society, and music and style plays a huge role in society today during the 2000's.

A description of the form which the final product will take

I will be making a movie on the similarities of the roaring 20's and the 2000's.

The research question

How are the roaring twenties similar to the times of the 2000's?
